The Hypocrite's Web

The Hypocrite's Web

Job 8:13-14 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish: Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider's web.

The frail web of a spider can't hold much. Anyone can easily brush it away. It's just like the hope of the hypocrite. They've built a web of distrust.

The path they are on, the behaviors they display, the Bible verses they memorize and the doctrines they claim to believe are used to hurt, not help God's people.

If you've ever been hurt by the hypocrite, please allow the following Bible verses to be a help and encourage to you.

Thy hypocrite's path is one that has forgotten God. The Christian's path is one of wisdom.

Proverbs 4:11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths.

The hypocrite's hope will perish. The Christian's hope is eternal life and gladness.

Proverbs 10:28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness:
Titus 3:7 That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

God is there to defend His children.

Psalm 5:11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.

God has promised to preserve His children.

Psalm 16:1 Preserve me, O God: for in thee do I put my trust.

God, through His lovingkindness, will be there with you when the hypocrite rises up against you.

Psalm 17:7 Shew thy marvellous lovingkindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them.

All God asks us to do is TRUST HIM! Remember, our God is NOT a weak web, weaved by a small spider.

Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.

Don't worry about the hypocrite's. Focus on living right, while trusting God.

Psalm 4:5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.
