The S.I.S. Virus

WARNING: There's been a worldwide outbreak of the S.I.S. virus!

Millions of people have been infected by it.

If you've not heard of it, allow me to explain.

S.I.S. stand for Self Importance Syndrome. It consists of people who are excessively preoccupied with themselves.

Here are a list of symptoms:

· laziness

· feeling of entitlement; people owe you

· no compassion felt for others

· an expectation of recognition for everything

· a hijacking of conversations; others don't have a say

· take advantage of others

· easily irritated when things don't go their way

· truth determined by feelings

S.I.S. is not a new virus. It's been infecting people as far back as the Book of Judges.

Judges 17:6 In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.

Is there any hope for people infected with S.I.S.?

Yes! STOP doing what YOU think is right in YOUR own eyes. Start allowing the Lord to direct your path, and esteem others better than you would yourself.

The good news is the Bible, the world's greatest spiritual medical journal, has the cure for S.I.S. It's found in the following 2 verses:

Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil.

Philippians 2:3-4 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
