Live by faith, avoid 5 pitfalls

Live by faith, avoid 5 pitfalls

It seems now, more than ever, more and more Christians are not living by faith. As a result, they are in danger of losing the following 5 things.

Personal Character:
Putting away faith will cause someone to make shipwreck, and ruin their individual life and personal character.

1 Timothy 1:19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck:

Church Life:
Departing from the faith can cause someone to fall into doctrinal error. Sadly, this ruins their opportunity to have a good church life.

1 Timothy 4:1 Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;

Home Life:
Denying the faith, by lazily casting aside responsibility, and not providing for his family, will cause a man to ruining his home life.

1 Timothy 5:8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

Public Life:
By casting off the faith, the susceptibility to becoming the town gossip is high. The reality is, social media has opened up many opportunities for Christians to post things which they ought not. This inevitably leads to the ruin of someone's public reputation, as well as others.

1 Timothy 5:12-13 Having damnation, because they have cast off their first faith. And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

Financial Life:
When someone errs from the faith, they risk falling into the deadly trap of loving money. Once money becomes someone's idol, they risk ruining their financial life. In America, many saved people have a lot of money, but they are miserable inside because they've erred from the faith.

1 Timothy 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

If you're saved, please remember, the just shall live by faith!
