Going door to door
Most parents are ok with going door to door with their children on October 31st to celebrate Halloween.
With bravery and boldness, they venture out in strange costumes to knock on doors around their community. When the door opens, the children have been trained to confidently say "trick or treat" to the stranger when they open their door.
The amazing discovery is that people don't have a problem with door knocking.
People don't have a problem stepping out of their comfort zone.
People are happy to walk up and down driveways for an hour on October 31st in celebration of Halloween.
Why don't Christians have the same bravery and boldness when it comes to going door to door to spread the gospel? It's just as easy for a parent to train their child to confidently say: "Can I give the good news of Jesus?" as it is to say: "trick or treat".
The reality is, Halloween takes away all the excuses a Christian would give, as to why they can't go door knocking.
Christian's must get honest with themselves and just admit that haven't made witnessing to the lost a priority.
Once American Christian's repent of their laziness, their idolatry and their excuses, then we will start to see revival in America.
The problem is, the world get's excited about going door to door for Halloween, but Christians don't get excited about going door to door to witness for Jesus.
