Does the Mirror Remove or Reveal!

When you look into a mirror and see a spot or blemish on your face, you don't start rubbing the mirror on your face in hopes of removing the spots.

The mirror simply reveals to you what's on your face. The mirror is not the cleansing agent.

The Bible says in Romans 5:20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound.

When you come face to face with God's law, don't start rubbing the law all over you. The law won't clean you. The law can only show you that you are unclean. All your offending spots and blemishes abound, when the law enters. However, the law itself, has no redeeming power.

Instead, you need to be redeemed with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

The cleansing agent for your sin is the precious blood of Christ...and without shedding of blood is no remission.
