Boldness in danger and opposition
Only the power of the gospel can give weak men and women great boldness and plainness of speech.
Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
Peter and John had different personalities. Their boldness didn't come from that. Their boldness came from being with Jesus.
The bible tells us that the speech of God's children should be both plain and bold. That is, to the point and with authority.
2 Corinthians 3:12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
2 Corinthians 7:4 Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you: I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.
The charge God gives us is to use our tongue, our words, our mouths to make Him known to all men.
Praise God, the power of the gospel gives believers great plainness and boldness of speech even in the face of danger and opposition.
