A Lamp and a Light

Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Because our human eyes will fail in guiding us, we need an unfailing compass that will guide our feet to stay on the right path.

Along the coast, a lighthouse is what shows the captain of the ship where he is at. It helps him know where to steer the ship and guides his safe arrival in the port.

God’s word stands as a Christian's lighthouse. It serves to warn us and save us from shipwrecking our lives.

As a lamp, it guides our feet to keep us on the right path.
