3 Things Christ desires from Members of His Body.

Ephesians 1:22-23 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Ephesians 1 gives us 2 fundamental truths concerning the church: Christ is the head of the church and the church is Christ's body.

With Christ as the head, below are 3 things He desires from the members of His body.

ONE: Christ wants His members to gather together.
If you're not able to gather because of sickness, age or handicap, that is understandable. However, all able-bodied men and women should seriously consider gathering together.

1 Corinthians 14:23 If therefore the whole church be come together into one place

TWO: Christ wants His members to be edified when they come together.
If you miss this gathering of the saints, you miss the opportunity to be instructed and built up in the faith. Stop looking for excuses to skip church services. Instead, show up for the edification.

1 Corinthians 14:26 Let all things be done unto edifying.

THREE: Christ wants His members authored by peace.
Confusion is a very damaging emotion. Look for a peaceful assembly that does things decently and in order, with their feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace!

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

In 2023 be sure to gather together, to get edified and enjoy the fellowship of peace!
