You're Raising Them to Fold
Your child will face a moment — in the locker room, at the lunch table, maybe even in church — where the crowd goes one way and God's Word goes another.
Most parents train their kids to be liked. To be polite, agreeable, easy to get along with. That's not the problem. The problem is when that's the whole curriculum.
The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe. — Proverbs 29:25
A child built only to please people will fold when the pressure comes.
Raise them to be kind. But raise them to be unmovable when kindness isn't the question.
The last thing the church needs is another generation of agreeable kids who grew up afraid to take a stand.
Raise warriors, not wimps.
