You Were Never Called To Reach Everybody
What is this for — the sermon, the business, the work God put in front of you today?
Somewhere underneath the doing, there's a want. Maybe a full sanctuary. Maybe your name remembered. Maybe just to be faithful.
Jesus said it plain: "No man can serve two masters" (Matthew 6:24). Love the approval of men, or love the approval of God — you cannot hold both at once.
The preacher chasing crowds and the preacher chasing Christ do not walk the same road, even when their pulpits look identical on a Sunday.
A hundred faithful sheep beat ten thousand spectators. Every time.
You were called to feed the flock God gave you, not to reach everybody. Small and faithful is not a consolation prize. It is the assignment.
