Who I'm Voting For
It comes with the territory, that as a pastor, people want to know who you are voting for. Some want to know, so they can decide if you're "worth listening to" anymore. Others try to gauge whether to "break fellowship" with you, if you don't vote how they vote. And, still others, are looking for the influence of their pastor to help them make a decision on how they should vote.
With that said, I'm not looking to influence or persuade anyone with this blog post. I'm not looking for agreement or support. And I'm certainly not looking for a fight with "the brethren". The Lord knows, I've got a full plate of spiritually contending for "the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." (Jude 3)
This post is for conscience’ sake.
It is simply to present a different perspective. One that is not popular. One that is not necessarily the only right perspective, or even the best perspective. Instead, it's one that is written for conscience’ sake.
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:20-21
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
First and foremost, I am an ambassador for Christ.
I am NOT an ambassador for a political party, or a candidate who we're told is some-how, supposedly, sent by God. I am plainly and clearly a born-again Christian. A weak man, saved by grace, who desires to humbly, yet boldly, be used of God as a preacher of RIGHTEOUSNESS.
Proverbs 14:34 Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.
As a preacher of righteousness, I believe it's a sin to murder the unborn in the womb. And I believe it's the responsibility of the reborn to stand up for the unborn.
Sadly, both the Democrats and Republicans, have embraced anti-human life policies. The Democrats have designed the most extreme, anti-human life policies, in the history of our country. Their wickedness must be stopped!
However, the Republican's have also opened the door to embrace anti-human life policies. Although, the Republican's have adopted more covert and much less extreme positions concerning the right-to-life. Nonetheless, the door has been opened.
As a Christian, I believe that abortion is a human-life issue, NOT a state's right issue. Therefore, EVERY child has the right to human-life. No state has the right to decide otherwise.
As an American, I believe in the 14th Amendment of our U.S. Constitution that clearly states:
No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.
The Trump appointed justices who overturned Roe v Wade was a big win for the rights of the unborn. We should rejoice and be thankful for this. However, the real value of this big win is only realized when laws are passed to protect the unborn at ALL stages of development - early as well as late.
Currently, Trump and the Republican Party, are avoiding this issue by saying it's up to the states to decide. As a Christian, I do not believe it's up to the state to decide.
- I believe that God makes the decision when he forms a baby in the womb.
- At conception, God has decided that every child has a right to life.
This is why the King James Bible uses the term "with child". By the way, in Genesis 19, in the case of incest, the Bible also uses the term "with child". Why? Because a child, that is inside a woman's body, is not her body. It's a child that has their own, God-given right to life.
Concerning abortion, Trump has said: "people have to follow their heart." Following your heart is clearly a pro-choice statement. At the very least, it's opening the door to pro-choice legislation. Of course, Trump defends himself by saying: "you have to get elected, also."
Trump has also said that he agrees with the Supreme Court's decision on women's access to abortion pills. The abortion pill contributes to over 50% of all abortions in the USA. Trump said he will not block access to that. This is NOT a pro-life position.
I personally believe Trump's appeal to the Christian faith is blasphemously insulting. However, if Trump had stood as a 100% pro-life candidate, he would have earned my vote. Because Trump has not stood 100% for pro-life, he has NOT earned my pro-life vote for today's election.
The candidate that has won my pro-life vote is the Constitution Party Candidate, Randall Terry.

I understand Randall Terry will not win. He also understands, he will not win.
However, I do not believe that I am wasting my vote. Before man, it could be argued that I am. But I am first responsible before God on how I cast my vote. My conscious before God is only clear when I vote for a 100% pro-life candidate.
Additionally, I do not believe that I am required as a Christian to vote for "the lesser of 2 evils." We live in a free country, that has a free election, and I am free to vote for who I want, just like you are.
The argument of "the lesser of 2 evils", has a lot of merit. I voted with this in mind in past elections. I do not believe that those who use "the lesser of 2 evils argument" are wrong. However, to use the argument to demonize those who don't vote like you, is concerning to me. It's also used to somehow prove the point that:
- there is no perfect candidate. Duh!!! - we all know this.
- we're not voting for a pastor. Duh!!! - we all know this too!
- Kamala Harris is worse than Donald Trump. Duh!!! - of course she is!

As a Bible-believing pastor, it is NOT my role to play the part of a politician. It's also not my role to try to convince someone that God is on any one political candidate's side. God is on his own side!
Daniel 4:35 ...none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
My primary role is to convince you that God sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, to shed on His blood on Calvary's tree to pay for your sin debt. As a result of His sacrificial death, and glorious resurrection, Christ purchased His church with His own blood. He invites you to receive Him. If you've not cast your vote for Jesus Christ, by trusting in Him alone for the salvation of your soul. I urge you to get that settled today.
Also, remember that Jesus said: My kingdom is not of this world!
I am not an ambassador of this world. I am an ambassador for another kingdom - the kingdom of God. The kingdom of God is a spiritual kingdom that requires a spiritual new birth to enter into it. It requires sinners to be reconciled to God.

This lost and dying world needs reconciliation. If you're saved, God is asking you to be an ambassador for Him, by pointing out to lost people that they need to be reconciled to God.
So, the question I will leave you with is this: What will you do for HIM after election day?
Will you...
- publically, and consistently, witness for him?
- faithfully gather at your local church to learn more about His word?
- repent of things in your life that are wrong, and get them right?
- attend the weekly prayer meeting, as well as pray and fast on your own?
- will you get your home in order so it's a safe-haven of holiness and goodness?
Or will you just vote on election day; and then go back to doing very little or nothing for God?
The hope for our nation is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The answer for our nation is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The need for our nation and its leaders is the gospel of Jesus Christ.
My prayer today, is 4-fold...
- the radical left-wing democrats and Kamala Harris are soundly defeated.
- the Republican Party returns to consistent pro-life messaging and policymaking.
- that Christian's wake-up and learn how to rightly divide their bibles, so they would stop being fooled by the false, Word-of-Faith prophets; the false, New Apostolic Reformation prophets; and the ever-so-confused Christian Nationalism pastors that are deeply influential to the Republican Party and it's Republican Christian base.
- that our nation's leaders, both Republican's and Democrat's, would be gloriously saved through repentance, faith and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is STILL the Answer!
