Truth doesn't care about our feelings

When we hear something we're not familiar with, oftentimes it makes us feel uncomfortable.
But this feeling of uncomfortableness doesn't make what was said untrue.
It's a misnomer to think that truth must sit well with us or make us feel a certain way in order to be trusted.
Truth doesn't care about our feelings.
It's why the Bible warns that people will change the truth (Roman 1:25), hold the truth in unrighteousness (Romans 1:18), and disobey the truth (Romans 2:8).
We're better off just rejoicing in the truth. (1 Corinthians 13:6)
