The Voice of Martyrs
Our kids grew up reading books about Christian martyr's.
Our thinking was, it would be much better for them to learn about and look up to real heroes, rather than the idolatrous hero's most kids fall in love with in the sports & media world.
They spent a lot of time watching "Torchlighters", which is a video series put out by The Voice of Martyr's. It highlights the testimonies of Christian's who have faced persecution because of their witness for the Lord Jesus Christ.
The voice of the world preaches a health, wealth and prosperity message to our kids. The world teaches our kids to love themselves, live for themselves, and be as financially successful as they can be by following their hearts.
The voice of the martyr's preaches a different message. A message of poverty, persecution and prayer. The voice of the martyrs teaches our kids to love lost souls, to live for Christ, and to be prepared to sacrifice everything to stand for Him.
Our next generation of boys need to learn about the poverty and prayer life of George Muller.
The next generation of girls need to know about the life of persecution Perpetua went through, when she was only 22 years old.
The next generation of young people need to understand 2 Timothy 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
