The Fruit of the Spirit is Goodness

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness...

A famous local painter was hired to arrange his paintings to hang on the walls of a well-known art gallery. This art gallery had walls that were always covered with paintings from numerous artists.

But one caught his attention, by an unknown artist. This painting was so inspiring to him that he thought it must be exhibited in the main gallery.

He approached the owner of the art gallery, along with the other committee members, with this request. However, they all said "NO", stating that the main gallery was already full!

So, this famous local painter volunteered to take his down his painting that hung in the main gallery and offered to put up the painting of the unknown man.

Now, that's a GOOD man!

Remember, before anyone is saved, they are NOT good.

The Bible clearly says in Psalm 14:3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

However, AFTER someone is saved, they have been given the fruit of the spirit of goodness. Now, they can honestly say they ARE good!
