Stop Comparing Your Kids
No one should view kids as competitors.
If your child isn't reading as fast as the neighbor's kid, don't stress over it. Your child doesn't need to be as athletic or as outgoing as his / her friend is.
If you're a parent caught in this compare and panic mode – Stop it!
Ephesians 2:10 says:
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
God made your child unique. They have their own gifts and talents. They learn at their own pace. God will give them their own calling in His timing.
Your job as a parent is to steward what God gave you—not to mass-produce a cookie-cutter version of someone else's kid. Rejoice in your child's strengths. Help them work on their weaknesses. But don't make them feel like they're failing because they're not someone else.
This wicked world will compare them enough. Your home should be a place of joy, where you value, love, and train your children according to God's design.
Focus on faithful parenting, not performance metrics.
