Stop Asking Jesus To Do More

There's a question buried in John chapter 7 that sounds spiritual but is actually a dodge. The crowd watches Jesus heal, deliver, restore — and instead of bowing, they ask, "When Christ cometh, will he do more miracles than these?" As if Jesus hadn't already done enough. As if the evidence needed padding before they'd finally believe.

We do the same thing, just dressed up nicer. Is the church going to do more? Is the pastor going to step it up? Is Jesus going to show up bigger in my life before I get serious about Him? We keep the ball in His court so it never has to land in ours.

But John 7:31 doesn't leave room for that. He's already done enough. The paralyzed walked. The blind saw. The dead got up. What more do you think is coming that hasn't already been given?

Here's the question Scripture actually wants you asking: not "what will Jesus do?" but "what will you do with Jesus?"

One question keeps you a spectator, waiting for a show. The other gets you on the table and submitted to the work already in front of you. You don't need more proof. You don't need more miracles. You need to stop asking Him to do more and start doing something with what He's already done.

Quit waiting on Jesus. He's not the one who's behind.
