Man sins, God Saves!

Ephesians 2:8-9
For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Not of works, lest any man should boast.

A. W. Tozer was quoted as saying:

Abounding sin is the terror of the world, but abounding grace is the hope of mankind.

Years ago, a young boy wanted to join a church.

The deacons were examining him, and asked, "How did you get saved?"

The boy's answer was, "God did His part, and I did my part."

The deacons were concerned with his doctrine, so they questioned him further, "What was God's part, and what was your part?"

The young boy's explanation was a good one, he said:

"God's part was the saving, and my part was the sinning.
I ran from God as fast as my sinful heart and rebellious legs could take me.
He sought after me till He ran me down. That's how I got saved!"

Titus 2:11  For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men
