Joseph and his mother...that's Important!
Luke 2:33 (KJV) And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.
The Holy Spirit offered 100% protection concerning the doctrine of the virgin birth of Christ, by being very specific and saying: “Joseph and his mother" in Luke 2:33
However, both the NIV & ESV say: "The child’s father and mother marveled at what was said about him."
The NIV & ESV translators got it wrong because the child’s father is not Joseph. Christ is the Son of God. God is Jesus' Father!
Luke 3:23 (KJV) And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,
It's very important to notice that everybody SUPPOSED Him to be the son of Joseph. This means he was NOT the son of Joseph, it was just supposed that he was. Jesus was undoubtably the Son of God.
Luke 2:33 protects the virgin birth by NOT stating Joseph as Jesus' Father. Even though many would "suppose" Him to be the son of Joseph, in fact, Jesus was the Son of God.
When the NIV & ESV render Luke 2:33 as "the child's father and mother", they are completely wrong!
