Jesus Let the Crowd Walk Away

A crowd will cheer on Sunday and forget you by Tuesday. Big is easy to want and hard to keep honest.
Jesus knew this. "From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him" (John 6:66). He let them go.
Shepherds don't count heads for applause. They feed the sheep who came hungry.
