2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2 Timothy 3:16 doesn't say: all scripture is inspired.
Rather it says: all scripture is given BY inspiration.
In other words, the method God used in giving us the holy scriptures is what is inspired.
Men may have written down scripture, but God breathed out the inspiration of that scripture.
2 Peter 1:20-21 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.
Inspiration is not about the will of certain men to write down scripture.
Inspiration is not about manuscripts or papyrus or paper that men can find.
Inspiration is about God breathing and the Holy Ghost moving.
Our trust should be in the method God used, not in the men God used.
