Proverbs 14:23 In all labour there is profit:

When someone labors all week at their secular job, the earned profit comes in the form of a paycheck.

When Christians labor for the Lord, their profitability comes in the form of:

• Increased godliness.
  1 Tim 4:8 ...but godliness is profitable unto all things.
• Better doctrine.
  2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine...
• Growth in the ministry.
  2 Tim 4:11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.
