I'm So Sorry for Your Loss...
The tornado that touched down in Rolling Fork, MS took over 20 lives.
The highway crash in Robertson County, TN left six children dead on arrival.
The school shooting at Covenant School in Nashville, TN took 6 innocent lives.
If it wasn't YOU that lost a loved one, then you DON'T know how those that DID lose loved ones, feel.
When horrific tragedy like this hits so hard, and so fast, there is nothing you can do to fix the pain.
What you can do is compassionately listen.
What you can do is be gracious in giving enough space and time for families to grieve.
What you can do is fervently pray WITH and FOR the families affected.
Finally, if you're unsure WHAT you can do to be a help, simply ask the person.
To all the families who've lost loved ones: I'm so sorry for your loss.
Psalm 23:1-6 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
