Get Well Now
The best we can offer is get well soon. Jesus said get well now. John 4:50 | KJV Bible devotional on faith and healing.

John 4:49-50 — "The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die. Jesus saith unto him,Go thy way; thy son liveth."

Go find a get well soon card.

You can find them at Walgreens, CVS, the grocery store checkout. Every last one of them says the same thing. Get well soon. Feel better soon. Thinking of you.

You know why none of them say get well now?

Because nobody can promise that. The best we have for each other is hope that things improve eventually. We send a card. We say a prayer. We mean well. But soon is the best we can do.

That nobleman's son was dying. He made a day's journey on foot to find Jesus. And Jesus didn't go with him. Didn't lay hands on the boy. Didn't ask for a prayer cloth or a point of contact. He just spoke words.

Go thy way. Thy son liveth.

The man believed it and left. No sign. No confirmation. Just the word of Jesus. When his servants met him on the road, they told him his son had recovered. He asked what hour. He already knew.

The exact hour Jesus spoke, the fever broke.

Not soon. Now.

We send cards. Jesus speaks words. We give people hope for tomorrow. Jesus gives life today.

And if you've never trusted him, that offer still stands. Not eventually. Right now.

Jesus said, get well now. Hear the full sermon on John 4 that unpacks why.
