Dust yourself off, try again

Dust yourself off, try again

If athletes can dust themselves off and try again when they lose, don't you think Christian's should be able to do the same?

When Christians witness to unsaved people, sometimes they are shrugged off or told off. When that happens, it doesn't mean it's time to quit. It also doesn't mean the gospel message is a failure, and that we need to look for a more "modern method".

One of the reasons athletes don't quit is because they know there is going to be another game, another competition, another chance to earn a win. Athletes also trust that their coach will help them work through their mistakes, and be there for them to help boost their morale to try again.

Likewise, Christians should trust their pastor and their brother and sister in Christ to rally around them and to encourage them to go on for the Lord, and try again.

It's never time to quit witnessing to the lost. Instead, it's time to dust yourself off and get after it again because there is another soul that needs to hear the glorious gospel of grace. Trust the Lord to provide the increase.

Mark 6:11 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them.
