Deceitful Workers

2 Corinthians 11:13-14 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

For those of us who study our bible, we put a lot of time in learning right doctrine to avoid being deceived by Satan, the angel of light, and his false apostles.

False apostles wrongly influence and deceive God's people by the transforming power of the counterfeit light they receive from Satan himself. Remember, 2 Corinthians 11 says: for Satan himself is TRANSFORMED into an angel of light.

However, there is another group of people mentioned in 2 Corinthians 11 wherein lies another danger to born-again believers. Our Lord calls this group - deceitful workers.

As we put our spiritual defensives up against Satan and his false teachers and apostles, it's tempting to put our guard down against deceitful workers.

We must beware that deceitful workers will:

• make promises they have no intention of keeping
• withhold facts, and mask motives
• stretch narratives
• create and blame common enemies to justify their unethical behavior

May God help us discern the deceitful workers that the enemy will send our way.
