Davy & Natalie Lloyd: The Crown of Martyrdom

2 Christian missionaries, Davy and Natalie Lloyd, were martyred for their faith yesterday in Haiti.

They were ambushed by a devilish gang, who kidnapped them, beat them, tied them up and finally shot them to death. These devil-possessed murderers are Satan serving cowards.

Make no mistake about it: the good fight is real!

Davy and Natalie Lloyd's love for the Lord Jesus Christ sent them to hostile Haiti, to preach the gospel. As a result, they died for their faith.

Davy and Natalie have fought a good fight, they have finished their course. They have kept the faith.

We know and trust, that as born-again believers, they are "absent from the body" and "present with the Lord". However, it's also a blessing to know they've both received the martyr's crown from their blessed Saviour, the Lord Jesus Christ: which is the crown of life.

Revelation 2:10 Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Under trial and suffering, Davy and Natalie Lloyd were faithful unto death. Although as believers we can rejoice that they are with the Lord, we also must pray for their friends, family, and fellow co-laborers in Christ, as they grieve the loss of this beautiful couple.

The crown of martyrdom is real! May the Lord be of comfort to all of their family, friends and missionary partners and supporters.
