Control Yourself & Glorify God

James 3:6-8 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.

• When you feel angry, can you control your tongue?

Proverbs 26:13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion in the way; a lion is in the streets.

• When you feel like sleeping in and doing nothing, can you control your laziness?

Proverbs 23:21 For the drunkard and the glutton shall come to poverty:

• When you feel like overeating, can you control your gluttony?

1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.

• When you have feelings of lust, can you control yourself so you don't sin against your own body?

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.
