Comfortable Christianity

Comfortable Christianity says...

Offer people a sports team to be a part of.

Offer them status to expand their business.

Offer them traditions tailored to meet what they want to believe.

Offer them a multi-million dollar worship palace to come to with free daycare, and a mini Christian theme park inside.

Offer them, the trendy "Jehovah Java" coffee bar, complete with fresh donuts.

Offer them a band that acts like the world, and dresses like the world. Darken the room and offer them a light show.

This is the marketing plan of "comfortable Christianity" because this IS what most people WANT!

It may be comfortable, it's not Christian; because the church is not a marketing machine. The church is the body of Christ. The church is the pillar and ground of the truth. And TRUTH is what most people SHOULD want.

If you're honestly searching for truth, and a church offered you a bible, a hymnal, a prayer bench, families to evangelize with, and Christian fellowship, then that would be enough.

The problem isn't just about apostate church leaders and denominations. The problem mostly falls at the feet of the people who continue to support comfortable Christianity. The clown show would come to end next Sunday, if Christian's would get serious about TRUTH!

I say it's high time for God's people to step out of their comfort zone!
