Church hurt
Church-hurt is a real thing.
People do get hurt emotional and spiritually in the midst of living life amongst Christians.
As a result of this, church-trust starts to decline. Both lost and saved people start to wrongfully view the church as just another failing organization.
The thing is, the church was never and will never be a failing organization. It's a living, breathing, spiritual organism headed by the Lord Jesus Christ.
Matthew 16:18 ...and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
One of the answers to boost church-trust, with the people who've been church-hurt, is to help them understand the church-together.
You see, the other side of church-hurt, is that it does give people a choice. They can either go on for God, or to quit on God. They can give up on Christ's church, or grow closer together to the body of Christ.
The church gathered together is what gives those that have been church-hurt, a place to heal alongside brothers and sisters who actually care.
Move on, gather together, and find healing. You can trust the Lord to work out the details.
Acts 14:27 And when they were come, and had gathered the church together, they rehearsed all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith unto the Gentiles.
