Christ's Church Elected in Him
In the Bible, Christ's Church is referenced and designated as elect.
If you are IN Christ, that means you have been placed into Christ's Church through the spiritual new birth. As a result, what is true of Christ is now true of you. All members of Christ's Church are chosen to BE holy and without blame.
Believers were NOT holy BEFORE they were saved. It's only AFTER they are saved, elected together and placed IN Christ are they now called to live holy lives.
Husband and wives have a union together. Before the marriage union, the wife retains her maiden name. It's not until AFTER the marriage union takes place that the wife receives her new name. Until then, she is known by her old, maiden name.
Christ and His Church, which is made up of individual believers, have a union together. Before this union all we were, by nature, were children of wrath.
What was chosen BEFORE the foundation of the world was not WHO would be elected to heaven or hell; but rather WHAT Christ's Church would BE after they have been placed in His spiritual body, the Church.
The Bible is very clear that His Church would BE holy and without blame. Because of that, members of Christ's Church can NOT be charged as guilty with anything.
The reason individuals could NOT have been elected before they were saved, or before the foundation of the world, is because all individual sinners WERE charged as GUILTY.
What happened before the foundation of the world is that God determined He would have a called out assembly, elected together as His Church, and that His Church would BE holy and without blame.
Praise God for His Church!
It's the BEST thing in the world to be a part of!
