Can you be saved by water?
1 Peter 3:20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water.
In 1 Peter 3, when God pictures salvation in the days of Noah, he uses the term: "saved by water".
What this verse shows very clearly is that the 8 souls that were saved by water NEVER got wet! They stayed completely dry.
Therefore, the bible defines salvation by water as staying 100% dry.
All those that perished were fully immersed in water. All those that entered through the ONE door were saved.
The Bible says in Revelation 4:1 After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven...
The Bible teaches that there is ONE way to heaven. It comes through ONE truth, ONE life, and ONE door.
The ark, in Noah's day, foreshadowed Jesus Christ, as the ONE door of salvation. The eight that entered in, never had one drop of water touch them.
If you're trusting in water baptism for salvation, you'll end up perishing like those in Noah's day who refused to enter through the ONE door!
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
