Be willing to quit
Quitting doesn't mean you gave up.
And if it's time for a change of direction, you should be ready to pivot and shift. But, this doesn't mean that you gave up. It just means you were willing to quit doing what wasn't working.
It makes perfect sense to stop doing something if it's causing more stress or adding to the problem. This type of quitting gives room for another door of opportunity to open up.
Too many people are stuck in a rut and are afraid of change because they equate change with quitting. We've been told since we were kids that quitters never win. But that's not true.
It's ok to quit something that isn't helpful or is a waste of time. When this is the case, the quitters WIN! And this is a good thing.
What isn't good, is to just don't give up. So if there's a better way, a simpler way, or a way that will benefit others, and we don't consider changing. To me, that's the mentality that says: I'm giving up! And this is what should be avoided.
