Are You Under God's Wrath or His Grace?
You're going to die someday. And when you do, you'll face one of two things: God's holy wrath or His amazing grace. There's no middle ground.
The Bad News: You're Guilty
Romans 1:18 hits you with a terrifying reality: "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness."
That's you. That's me. That's every person who's ever lived.
You think your dad getting angry was scary? The Bible says God's wrath is infinitely more intense than any human anger you've ever witnessed. And right now, this entire human race stands guilty before a holy God.
The Shocking Truth: You Can't Save Yourself
Here's what people don't want to hear - all your good works, church attendance, and moral living won't save you.
God gave humanity the Ten Commandments, and you know what happened? We couldn't keep them. Not even close. The commandments weren't given so we could follow them perfectly - they were given to show us that we CAN'T.
Look up at the stars tonight. See the moon, the sunshine, the rain? That's God's creation declaring His glory every single day. Psalm 19:1 says: "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork."
But instead of praising our Creator, we shake our fist at Him and try to get to heaven on our own terms. It will never work.
The Amazing News: God Made a Way
Here's where the story gets incredible.
Romans 1:16-17 reveals the only escape from God's wrath: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth... For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith."
Jesus Christ took the wrath of God that you deserved. He died on the cross as your substitute, paying the penalty for your sin. Through faith in Him, God credits Christ's perfect righteousness to your account.
It's not about what you do - it's about what He already did.
The Choice Is Yours
If God took a video of your entire life and played it before His throne of judgment, you would be found guilty. Every lie, every selfish thought, every moment you ignored your Creator - it's all there.
But here's the miracle: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved" (Acts 16:31).
God will wash away every sin, forgive every transgression, and declare you righteous - not because of anything you've done, but because of what Christ accomplished on the cross.
Jesus said in John 14:6: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
The question isn't whether you're good enough for heaven. The question is: Will you trust in what Jesus did for you?
Your eternal destiny hangs on that decision.
