All those who BELIEVE have life

God, in His grace and mercy, has created man with the ability to believe or not believe. This belief is not a work that earns a man credit. Belief is not something we do for God. Rather, belief is trusting that what God said is true. When we believe, we are giving credit to God, not taking credit for ourselves.

Notice the connection of the simplicity of believing with life eternal in the following 8 verses from the Book of John.

You will not perish.

John 3:15-16 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

You will not receive wrath.

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.

You will not receive condemnation.

John 5:24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

You will receive everlasting life.

John 6:47 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.

John 6:40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

You will receive living water.

John 7:38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.

You will never die.

John 11:25-26 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?

You will have life through his name.

John 20:31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
