A whatsoever life
The vanity of this world preaches a message that encourages the exaltation of self.
The world wants you to accept their philosophies concerning life. Here are some of their catchphrases:
- Be the best YOU can be!
- You be YOU!
- Build YOUR self-esteem.
- Prove everyone wrong by showing them how good YOU are.
These are all vanity messages designed to get you to believe that you're #1, and that showing the world who you are, should be a prioritized goal in life.
Instead, Christians should think different. We should show prioritize showing the world who Christ is, and what Christ did in our lives.
Christians are called to live a whatsoever life, not a ME-soever life.
The Bible says in Colossians 3:17
And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
If Christians want to prove anything, Romans 12:2 gives us something we should seek to prove:
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
