A Saint, Sanctified in Christ
If you're a born-again, blood-washed, saved-by-grace, Christian, and want to call yourself a name, call yourself what God calls you: a SAINT!
Romans 1 refers to the called and beloved of God as SAINTS!
Romans 1:6-7 Among whom are ye also the called of Jesus Christ: To all that be in Rome, beloved of God, called to be saints: Grace to you and peace from God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ.
In 1 Corinthians, those who are sanctified and part of God's church are called SAINTS!
1 Corinthians 1:2 Unto the church of God which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both theirs and ours:
Ephesians 1 refers to those who are in Christ Jesus as SAINTS!
Ephesians 1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:
Christians often use the phrase: "I'm a sinner, saved by grace!" I understand the humility and the truth behind that saying. And I personally, have used it.
However, may we also consider adding to that, the phrase: "I'm now a SAINT, sanctified in Christ!"
It's a good thing to get used to calling ourselves, what God call us: SAINTS!
